Air-Quality Data 3D Visualization


Show a bird’s-eye 3D view of air-quality data (PM10) acquired at time intervals from multiple sensors to reveal air-quality dynamics over space and time.

Sensors are connected with a Triangular Irregular Network (TIN) to cover the area of interest. Data is represented geometrically and colorized to easily recognize high-to-low values. Areas affected by a potential risk for health are quickly discernible. Users can adjust data-acquisition times for dynamic updating.

Environmental Monitoring With GeoJModelBuilder


GeoJModelBuilder couples geo-processing Web services and Sensor Web services to support geo-processing modeling and environmental monitoring. The main goal of GeoJModelBuilder is to bring an easy‑to‑use tool to the geo-scientific community.

The tool allows a user to drag and drop various geospatial services to visually generate workflows and then to interact with those workflows in a virtual globe environment. It also allows users to audit trails of workflow executions, check the provenance of data products and support scientific reproducibility. 

Urban Traffic Visual Analytics Simulator


The goal is to develop a highly interactive visual analytics system that helps urban planners, decision makers and traffic analysts simulate the urban scenario related to the urban viability.  Users interact directly via the 3D context. This ensures intuitive understanding and easy adjustment to any simulated scenario.

The user interacts with the 3D environment through graphical metaphors that considerably reduce the time needed to set the simulation parameters and the time needed to analyze the results.

Real-Time Geospatial Renderer by Gaea+


Extends the World Wind Java core with features crucial for advanced real-time rendering of geospatial information, including optimized Render-to-Texture capabilities enabling visualization of large vector datasets. The GLSL Shader support built directly into the World Wind render-loop makes custom visual effects a breeze, and provides deferred rendering and flexible support for WFS & GML.

This allows us to build mission-critical emergency response systems with massive datasets deployed in several regional call centers, giving spatial planners data visualization and manipulation tools, as well as stunning photo-realistic presentations of our world.

Simulation Tool to Predict Wildfire Behavior


This tool displays the potential movement of wildfire through the terrain via a particle system.

The Wildfire Management Tool (WMT) introduces a new way to analyze and predict wildfire behavior. Instead of a static display, WMT animates the paths that fire will take through the terrain.

A high density or concentration of paths depicts a ‘fire highway.’ As the situation changes, WMT identifies new fire highways as well as areas where fire highways can be intercepted to stop the fire spread. Areas that are ‘slow fire’ paths are good for safe access and present windows of opportunity for control of fast moving fire highways.

Multidimensional Viewer for Large Datasets


Multidimensional Viewer allows users to present 3D information from different data sources.

Large datasets of scalar or vector information, coming from point cloud data, can be optimally displayed as 3D information in real time, e.g., LiDAR point clouds, laser scanner point clouds, weather data from High Resolution Limited Area Model (HIRLAM), etc.

Linked Europe Observation Browser


This is a tool for displaying sensor data in a 3D context that allows better understanding of measured phenomenon. Users can:

·   Display observation data coming from OGC Sensor Observation Service automatically structured as Linked Data following the W3C Semantic Sensor Network Ontology.

·   Simultaneously display up to 3 variables (i.e., wind direction, speed and temperature) coming from a SPARQL Endpoint.

·   Query time periods and display animated results exploring the data.

·   Display links from sensors to the linked data cloud and offers additional information via integrated graph visualization.

PoliCrowd – A Social World Wind Platform


PoliCrowd is a 3D participatory application allowing users to populate their geospatial information as represented on the virtual globe.

Registered users can upload Points Of Interest (POIs) through their mobile devices and participatively interact with POIs on the globe, adding textual and multimedia content (e.g., images, audios & videos).

Users can also add WMS layers to populate a catalogue of geographic content useful for scenario customization.  Different projects can also be created, saved and shared to promote community participation.
